Tacoma police arrested a man early today on suspicion of drunken driving after he crashed into a light pole, mail box and rockery in Northeast Tacoma.

The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. in the area of 58th Avenue Northeast and Norpoint Way Northeast, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Officers suspect the man lost control and struck the pole, a fence, a mail box and rockery. He was walking around afterward, Fulghum said.

Officers arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving.
