Gig Harbor police are trying to identify a man who burgled two coffee stands within a three and a half hour time span last week.

The burglar hit the Williams Patrick Coffee stand on Judson Street in downtown Gig Harbor and the Harbor Hill Coffee stand on Borgen Boulevard between 12:30 and 4 a.m. Sept. 27.

In both cases, the suspect used a pry bar to open the coffee stand’s sliding window. He stole cash, then fled, police reported.

The burglar is described as white, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 and 180 to 200 pounds. During the incidents, he wore a dark colored knit-type cap, dark-colored sweatshirt, dark two-toned gloves with white letters on the back side, blue jeans and tennis shoes, police reported.  Investigators suspect he might be driving a dark colored 2- or 4-door sedan.

Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers released surveillance images of the suspect today. The non-profit organization is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the burglar’s arrest and charges filed.

Tipsters may remain anonymous. Reach Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.
