Kent firefighters doused a fire Monday night at a two-story home and were searching for what sparked the blaze.

Crews were called to the home in the 26100 block of 114th Avenue Southeast just after 10:20 p.m. They found smoke and flames coming from the second floor.

The owner told firefighters no one had been staying at the home for about a month, the fire department reported.

Firefighters found no one inside. No injuries were reported.

The activity closed the Kent Kangley Road in both directions for about two hours.
