UPDATE: Tacoma police have arrested a man for today’s armed robbery at the Humane Society. His age and city of residence were not immediately available.

The man reportedly pulled a knife on an employee and stole a pit bull that was caged in the facility after being seized and declared dangerous.

After tracking a vehicle license plate, officers took the man into custody and returned the pit bull safely to the Humane Society.
