Tacoma firefighters are in the process of rescuing a teen trapped on a hill at Point Defiance Park.

Originally, a caller reported two patients a little after 8 p.m. — a man on Owen Beach and a teenage boy “stuck on a cliff” near the 6600 block of 5 Mile Drive.

The Coast Guard made contact with the man on the beach, who did not require assistance. As of 8:25 p.m., he was “taking pictures of the Coast Guard and gesturing creatively,” according to scanner chatter.
