Two people were arrested and a cache of drugs seized Thursday when Fife police and two SWAT teams raided a Pierce County home.

The action came after a three-month investigation, the Fife Police Department announced today.

Fife police and members of the Metro SWAT and Washington State Patrol SWAT teams served a narcotics search warrant on the property in the 7400 block of Golden Given Road on Thursday morning.

They found 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine, more than 300 various prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and military-grade, ballistic body armor. They also seized two vehicles and money that had been hidden on the property, police reported.

Investigators arrested a man and woman. The man was booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of unlawful delivery of narcotics, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was booked on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

I was confused about the reference to Fife. Stacy Mulick sent me an e-mail and clarified that it really was the Fife police department even though the address is in the County outside the city limits of Fife.

It is great that we can interact with the reporters who write the stories and get additional information.

    Thanks Stacy.

    Good job Fife PD.
