An armed man wearing a dark-colored bandanna over his face robbed two gas stations and convenience storeĀ  in South Tacoma in the space of two hours Thursday night, Tacoma police report

The series of robberies began about 9:30 p.m. when the robber accosted a clerk at the Chevron Station at 3305 S. 56th St. and took cash from the register. Police said he brandished a handgun.

Then about 10 p.m., a man matching the same description robbed Park Ave. Foods at 7214 Park Ave.

At 11:30 p.m., theĀ  same bandanna masked man robbed a Union 76 station at 1822 S. Jackson St.

In all three cases he fled the stores on foot but police believe he had a car waiting.

The clerks were not injured in the robberies.

The robber is not connected to the Red Bandanna Robber who hit a dozen espresson stands in Pierce County in the last couple months, including two Thursday morning. Tacoma police arrested two men in connection with those robberies early Thurday evening at South 84th Street and Hosmer Street.
