The Department of Labor and Industries is investigating the deaths of two men killed on the job Wednesday in Auburn.

The two employees at Ferrellgas, a propane distribution company, were operating a boom truck that struck a live power line around 5 p.m. Firefighters responded to a report of a commercial truck fire at 3611 A St. South and found the two men dead at the scene.

These are the 35th and 36th workplace deaths in Washington state so far this year. From 1998 to 2010, there have been 22 electrocution fatalities involving workers who came near power lines.
