Arraignment set for Tacoma police officer accused in child sex case

An arraignment has been scheduled for the Tacoma police officer charged Wednesday with molesting a female relative.

John H. Parkes, 45, has been summons to appear in Pierce County Superior Court the morning of June 9 for his arraignment.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged the veteran Tacoma patrol officer with three counts of first-degree child molestation, alleging he sexually contacted a female relative between 1999 and 2003.
