Pierce County prosecutors have charged three more men in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this month inside a West End home.

Carlos R. Basilio, 23; Alfredo Villagomez Felices, 20; and Antonio Gonzalez Vasquez, 24; were charged Friday with first-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with the May 12 shooting in the 3300 block of North Visscher Street. Basilio is being held in Pierce County Jail in lieu of $1.5 million bail; Vasquez on $1.25 million bail and Felices on $1 million bail.

Juan Zuniga-Gonzalez, 26, was killed and another man injured in the shooting.

Pierce County prosecutors previously charged Juan Ortiz, 18, and Naitaalii Toleafoa, 15, with first-degree murder and first-degree assault in the incident. Warrants have been issued for their arrests. They remain on the loose.

Charging documents indicate the five accused men and Zuniga-Gonzalez were members of the same Eastside gang. Sometime before the shooting, the defendants had met at a park and discussed problems they each had with Zuniga-Gonzalez, whom they considered to the leader of the gang.

“A discussion ensued related to how to do something to Zuniga before Zuniga did something to them,” charging documents state.

Prosecutors allege Ortiz and Toleafoa went to Zuniga-Gonzalez’s home and shot him. Basilio, Villagomez and Felices are accused of providing the two with transportation to and from the home. Charging documents also indicate that Basilio and Felices drove Ortiz and Toleafoa to Los Angeles after the shooting. The two planned to catch a bus into Mexico.

The money that will be spent trying to keep these fools out of jail would have gone a long in school or training to have a productive career.People in gangs are afraid to do what is needed to become sucessful, because they don`t want to leave their friends. One day they wake up ,realize that no one will give them a decent job because it is hard to trust someone with an extensive criminal backround. The other alternative is long term jail time or getting their ashes spread around at their favorite park.wake up ,guys.
