Washington High School in Parkland was locked down briefly this afternoon after two students made threats toward one another, a school official said.

The lockdown, which lasted from 12:15 to 12:40 p.m., was a precautionary measure, said Willie Painter, spokesman for Franklin Pierce School District.

“It’s not an issue at this point in time,” he said. “It’s pretty much back to normal.”

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the school at 12420 Ainsworth Ave. S. to investigate.
