UPDATED: Police activity blocked lanes of I-5 in Olympia

Two lanes of northbound Interstate 5 in Olympia have reopened after some early morning police activity.

The lanes were blocked from about 4 a.m. to just after 5:30 a.m. at Capitol Boulevard, the state DOT reports.

The activity backed up traffic for a couple of miles.

It was not immediately known what the police activity was. We will update this post when more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Officers were investigating a suicide, the Olympian reports.
