Safe Streets will host a gang summit Thursday night at Baker Middle School in Tacoma.

The event is focused on providing parents in the neighborhood with information about how to prevent their children from joining a gang or becoming involved in the lifestyle.

The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 8320 S. I St. Earlier in the day, students at Baker will attend gang prevention assemblies, Safe Streets reports.
