The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of a 64-year-old woman from a Parkland care center earlier this week.

Chong Yi was last seen Sunday 3 p.m. as she was walking away from Kat’s Care Center, 321 116th Street S. Yi was reported missing by a staff worker when she failed to return. Yi has a history of wandering away from care facilities, and frequently walks to grocery stores in the area.

Yi is described as an Asian female, 5 feet 2 inches and 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and speaks limited English. She was last spotted wearing a brown jacket and green sweatpants.

Anyone with information on Yi’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
