Tacoma police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of hiding in a woman’s car, then sexually assaulting her earlier this week. The sketch was released this morning.

The woman told officers that Tuesday she got into her unlocked vehicle shortly before noon in the 6200 block of Wapato Lake Drive and found a man hiding inside.

The woman told officers the attacker punched her twice in the head and told her to drive to Wapato Park. Once there, he sexually assaulted her, police reported.

The man then got out. He was last seen running north on South Sheridan Avenue.

The attacker is described as white, in his 30s and with a medium build. He wore a black nylon jacket with a hood and dark-colored jeans. He had silver hood earrings in both ears and “gappy teeth,” police reported.

UPDATE: Tacoma police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call detectives at
