Lakewood firefighters will be participating in a training burn exercise today at a building on Pacific Highway Southwest.

The burn begins at 9 a.m. at 12588 Pacific Highway S.W.

“The purpose of the burn is to give firefighters training in live fire,” a press release stated. “Crews will be able to set approximately 3 fires prior to letting the building burn down.”

The training is expected to wrap up about 1 p.m.
