Woman killed in one-car crash in Sumner early Saturday identified

A 26-year-old Sumner woman who was killed in a single-car crash early Saturday has been identified as Jennifer Carino.

The crash occurred early Saturday. Carino had been driving north into Sumner when her car hit a signal pole at Traffic Avenue and Thompson Street just before 1:45 a.m.

Carino wasn’t wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, East Pierce Fire & Rescue reported.

Sumner police were investigating.
