The Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Association will be presenting a donation check to Pierce County law enforcement officers Saturday night during the Monster Truck show.

A check for $2,500 will be given to Pierce County sheriff’s Sgt. Nick Hausner and Lakewood police officer Brian Wurts during a break in the show at the Tacoma Dome, the association reported.

Hausner was injured and deputy Kent Mundell mortally wounded Dec. 21 while handling a domestic violence call at a home near Eatonville.

Wurts is president of Lakewood Police Independent Guild. Four Lakewood officers were killed Nov. 29 while preparing for work at a Parkland coffee shop.
