Tacoma police are investigating an alleged North End home invasion Sunday evening.

Around 7:30 p.m., police dispatchers received a call from the 3400 block of North Monroe Street. A woman calling from the basement reported four masked people with guns in her home and two shots fired, according to the police scanner.

When police units arrived, the house’s four residents said that the intruders had fled, according to Tacoma Police Department spokesman Mark Fulghum. Investigators searched the home and found no obvious signs of foul play. “Nothing was damaged, no one was injured,” Fulghum said.

  1. WOW. I never considered that crime from the south end of town could migrate north. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

so was it alleged or confirmed? Seems like shots fired would result in some evidence.

  3. Who’s not telling the whole story?

The reporting party, TPD, or the Tribune?

    In TPD I trust.

    The others? Well…

Makes me wonder if these people were looking for a specific item and either took only it or didn’t find it. Maybe not the house they were looking for.

This ain’t Mayberry! Life as we knew it back in the day is gone Forever!!
I can remember when you could leave your car running in the driveway and now if you do then it gets stolen! The way of the world has changed so very much and it seems to get worse each and every day! I pray that those people are OK and that they can find some serenity in their every day lives.
