One person died, another was hospitalized in a house fire early Sunday morning in Tacoma.
Tacoma Fire Department personnel responded to the report of a house fire in the 7200 block of South Lawrence in Tacoma at 3:23 a.m. Sunday morning.
Firefighters found a fifth wheeler trailer next to the house engulfed in flames. The fire had spread from the trailer into the attic of the house. Firefighters were able to put out both fires.
Firefighters searched the house and discovered a body inside. Another occupant of the house was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Both the Tacoma Police and Tacoma Fire departments are conducting investigations.
Neighbors told a News Tribune photographer on the scene that the house has had numerous fires in the past.
