Robbers hit Lakewood sandwich shop

Lakewood and Tacoma police are looking for two men who robbed a Subway store Wednesday night.

The two men, reportedly armed, robbed the Subway on the 10500 block of South Tacoma Way at about 9:50 p.m. They are described as two white males in black clothing with at least one in a ski mask, according to scanner chatter.

Auburn police looking for help in locating bank robber

From the Auburn Police Department:

The Auburn Police Department is seeking assistance in the identification and apprehension of white male in his mid-40s that was involved in a bank robbery on Dec. 17 at about 12:45 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Top Foods grocery store on Lake Tapps Parkway.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 40’s, about 5’7” with a heavy build and blond hair.

Wells Fargo is offering up to a $5,000 reward for original information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of the person(s) involved in the robbery. The Auburn Police Department is asking anyone who has information on the suspect pictured to contact the Auburn Police Department tip line at 253-288-7403.

Clemmons’ alleged getaway driver makes court appearance

The man suspected of driving cop killer Maurice Clemmons to and from the Parkland coffee shop where he gunned down four Lakewood police officers appeared in court for a routine hearing Wednesday.

Superior Court Judge Bryan Chushcoff ruled that Darcus Allen should continue to be held without bail on an Arkansas arrest warrant that charges him with robbery, theft and probation violations. Chushcoff ordered Allen back to court next month to discuss the status of the warrant and his possible extradition to Arkansas.

Tacoma police looking for bank robber

Tacoma Police are looking for a bank robber who hit the Rainier Pacific Bank on South Pearl Street at about 2:30 p.m.

The robber ran from the bank, located at 1211 South Pearl Street, according to scanner traffic.

UPDATE: 3:31 p.m.: Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the robber used a note that implied a weapon to take the money.

She is described as a 5-foot-1 Asian woman in her late 20s to early 30s who was wearing a tan baseball cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Planning continues for Mundell’s service

A team continues to work on the memorial service for slain Pierce County sheriff’s deputy Kent Mundell.

On Wednesday, the county made the following announcements:

* Flowers for Tuesday’s service at the Tacoma Dome will only be accepted from noon to 6 p.m. Monday. Flowers will not be accepted the day of the memorial. For more information, contact 206-255-5226.

* The Port of Seattle will be offering transportation and other hospitality services to law enforcement officers from outside the region who are coming for the ceremony. The services will be available on Sunday and Monday. Outside agencies are asked to

Bellevue: Survivalist suspect wanted by State Patrol

The State Patrol is searching for Bradley Steven Robinette who has an outstanding felony warrant for escape and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is known to be a survivalist and believed to be armed at all times and possibly equipped with body armor.

UPDATED: Two men rob Tacoma ice cream shop at gunpoint

Tacoma police were searching for two men suspected of robbing an ice cream shop at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The men entered the Baskin-Robbins at 622 S. Sprague Ave. about 1:20 p.m.  They robbed the employee at gunpoint, then left on foot, police reported.

Responding officers set up containment and a police dog conducted a track.

The robbers were not found.

The robbers were described as black men in their 20s. They wore dark-colored hooded sweatshirts.

One suspect was described as 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 with a slight build. The other suspect was described as 5 feet 9
