Lakewood Police Chief Bret Farrar now his own fan page on Facebook.

The “Fans of Chief Bret Farrar” appears to have been created Tuesday and can be found here.

“Through the last four and a half weeks Chief Farrar has been a rock! His ability to drive forward through our recent events is inspiring. He handled the events, the media, and the pressure with grace and without missing a beat,” the page states.

The fans page has 355 friends, many of whom are law enforcement officers.

Among the postings on the page:

Matt Martinson: to the person who made this fan page: whats your name? bret is my uncle and he is curious as to who made it. this is a great fan page though. i love my uncle, he is a great man. i look up to him very much and hope to be even half the man he is someday. he is the best of the best

Lisa Brenton: I am a fan

Rob Kearney: Chief Farrar gave me a LPD patch after the memorial service … I’m keeping it in a special spot on my PPD uniform coat to always remember. He’s a true leader and an excellent man.

Dennis Folk: Hey Chief “Show me Your Hands” You Rock …

Lloyd Bird: This past Saturday while in the Officers waiting room at Harborview. Chief Farrar was sitting a couple of seats away from me. I could see that he was doing something in his lap, Sgt. Alwine saw me looking and said “He is cutting his Lakewood Patch off his coat to leave with Kent.” I was in awe, Lakewood Officers and citizens you have a True Leader.

UPDATE: The group now has 428 fans and a few more pictures of Chief Farrar, including one of him as a child.

Farrar does not have his own Facebook page but has been reading the comments, apparently.
