Tacoma Police are looking for a bank robber who hit the Rainier Pacific Bank on South Pearl Street at about 2:30 p.m.

The robber ran from the bank, located at 1211 South Pearl Street, according to scanner traffic.

UPDATE: 3:31 p.m.: Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the robber used a note that implied a weapon to take the money.

She is described as a 5-foot-1 Asian woman in her late 20s to early 30s who was wearing a tan baseball cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

A police dog responded to the scene but could not track the robber.

  1. I think they are picking on this suspect because she’s Asian.

If caught, odds are good she’ll be put before one of our trio of catch and release judges.

Oh wait…it’s different, they only are kind to VIOLENT criminals.

  3. EmilyScully says:

No, I get the feeling they’re picking on her because she’s a criminal.
