A local radio station reported at appx. 10:50 pm that two offes have been shot and are in critical condition. One has been sent to Harborview and the other was diverted from TG to Madigan. One other person was shot and killed. The nature of the call was “domestic dispute.

Spell check re previous message- 1st line—-”two police offers shot”

Per airlift one of the officers is in extreme critical condition. The police tarped off the walkway from the bird to the hosiptal entrance at Harborview. It does not look good

King 5 reported the shooter is deceased. I don’t want to hear a word from his family about what a great guy he was. Re the tarping off, perhaps just a response to the anticipated media coverage, let’s hope and pray.

  7. raincity321 says:

Local TV is on the scene (11 pm news). They report a suspect was shot (as opposed to killed). Typical sketchy details during the early phase of this breaking story. Locals interviewed reported a very high number of police vehicles in response. Further details- Ed Troyer is in contact with news agencies and is expected to address the media at any moment.

  8. I agree dont want to hear from the family. God Bless the Law Enforcement Officers every where!! Dont want to hear about law suits or perps being misunderstood cause yup they are misunderstood but only because bleedin hearts think they are… lock em up do not let them out only one way” most” of them should be released!!!!!!!!!

TV News reporting that officers responded to a residence. One of two brothers there went ” into a bedroom” and retreived a firearm. Again- Ed Troyer expected to address the media any time.
Just in- Report from Harborview states that (apparently) one of the brothers was killed “on scene” .
According to Troyer, call was initially “domestic disturbance” but was changed to “unwanted person ” on premises. Officers were invited in by a 15 year old girl resident. Brother” then opened fire on both officers. I would surmise that one or both officers returned fire and took out one of the brothers.
Families of officers are being rounded up and taken to the respective hospitals. Not good!

Can we start talking about Gun Control and how it may not be as hard as people think to get guns!

    Re: frankiethomas

I don’t believe you’ll be hearing anything from his family about what a great guy he was. They were all scared to death of him. Apparently, according to neighbors, there had been some fighting between two men and a woman. The men were brothers…the woman is the daughter of the deceased criminal.

After the deputies arrived, and one brother had let them in…the other brother opened fire on them from upstairs.

To their credit, the brother and daughter of the criminal pulled the critically wounded deputy closest to them into a room, bolted the door and began first aid on the deputy. They have cooperated fully with the investigation, and are not considered to have been part of any kind of a conspiracy to perpetrate an ambush.

  13. interWOLFone says:

Diva…so far from related articles I have read, it appears that one of the deputies is at Harborview with multiple gunshot wounds, and is in critical condition.

The other deputy is said to be in stable condition. Both deputies are married, and have children.

  14. interWOLFone says:

Jmasterflex…all of the gun control laws in the world won’t stop a determined criminal from obtaining a gun.

The only people who heed these laws are law abiding citizens. Then all you have is disarmed and helpless law abiding citizens pitted against armed thugs and scofflaws.

This deceased individual already had weapons violation charges against him. He wasn’t supposed to have firearms…but he did anyway.
