A Tacoma police SWAT team worked with Renton police officers to confront a reported acquaintance of suspect Maurice Clemmons at a house on Renton Avenue South in Skyway.

Clemmons is still on the loose.

Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said investigators have been confronting and rounding up family members and friends of Clemmons who have reportedly been helping the suspect since Sunday morning’s shooting. Officers have detained and questioned people in Skyway and in other operations in the Puget Sound area.

Parts of Renton and Skyway were closed while officers approached the house.

Investigators are planning and executing more searches in the area, but will not disclose when and where until they have been completed, Troyer said.

  1. I have been so hostile about thgose assisting him…yet, actually if, I had to be through no fault of my own, other than being a caring but, sad family member I don’t know what I’d do!… I THINK, I, would try to get him to medical help, and to surrender due to his mental and now physical state. But, I honestly don’t know!

NEXT, on the other side of the coin, arethese people Law abiding folks or do they all seem to have extensive police records also??

  2. Novelist says:

If a relative of mine shot four police… I don’t care who it was, I know exactly what I’d do. I’d turn the relative in myself. Blood may be thicker than water, as they say, but a menace is a menace.
