Two men – one wielding a gun – robbed a Sixth Avenue cafe this morning.

Tacoma police were searching for the two men, but no arrests have been reported so far.

Two men went into the Old Milwaukee Cafe and Dessert Co., 3102 Sixth Avenue, about 10:45 a.m., Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

One of the man told employees, “This is a robbery. Give me all the money.” Meanwhile, the second man stood by the doorway and brandished a handgun, Fulghum said.

The first suspect got cash from the register. As he went to leave, an employee stepped in front of him. The suspect pushed her and she fell to the floor, Fulghum said.

The two robbers fled on foot.

Tacoma firefighters responded and checked out the employee, who hit her head when she fell. A police dog conducted a track but did not find the robbers, Fulghum said.

The first suspect was described as black, 25-30 years old, 6 feet tall and 165 pounds, with a medium build. He wore a black jacket and black jeans, Fulghum said.

The suspect with the dark-colored gun was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 and 165 pounds. He was wearing a white and black or gray vertical striped shirt and black pants.

Old Milwaukee, you are our favorite. We’re sad for the traumatic encounter, but so very thankful that you are ok.

what wasn’t reported was that the suspect had just watched “pulp fiction” the night before.

What a bunch of horse $hit!! Are these the same wimps who robbed the Stadium District Columbia Bank today? I hope the TPD can get the creeps.

  4. Yeah, the best way to stop this crap is to very publicly catch the b@st@rds & very publicly prosecute & very publicly give the perpetrators the maximum sentence.
