A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at Mary Bridge Hospital following a collision in the McKenna area earlier today.
The boy was riding a bicycle near State Route 702 at 90th Avenue South at about 5:30 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. He was hit by an SUV and suffered head injuries, said Trooper Brandy Kessler.
This happens perhaps 7 times a day in Pierce County.
When there are real penalties when a motorist kills or
badly injures someone then the rate will slow down.

Car hit motorcyclist in Puyallup yesterday also.
Reason?
Idiot driver on cell phone.
Lucky the motorcyclist wasn’t severely injured or killed.
Yeah- cell phone ban is really working!

At 5:30 it is dark. Was the bicyclist wearing reflective clothing? Did he have a light on this bike? Did he venture out past the fog line? Before condeming the driver, these facts have to be known.

7 times a day in Pierce County? Where did you find those facts? Did you know that you could go to jail and maybe get the death penalty if you kill someone? Yet murder happens alot considering the “real penalties” Laws don’t stop crime.
Keep drinking the Kool-Aid Komrades!
