UPDATED: Crash closes three lanes on southbound I-5

TRAFFIC ALERT, 10:35 a.m. A multiple-vehicle collision blocks the three right lanes of southbound I-5 just south of the SR 16 interchange, according to the Washington State Department of
Transportation. The left lane is open.

The Washington State Patrol fire crews and medic units are on the scene,

UPDATE, 10:50 a.m.: The multiple-vehicle collision blocks two right lanes of southbound I-5 just south of the SR 16 interchange. The two left lanes are open. Backup is 2.5 miles.

UPDATE: 11:05 a.m.
All lanes open southbound I-5 just south of the SR 16 interchange. An earlier collision blocked three lanes. The long backup is clearing.
