Tacoma and Lakewood Police are investigating a shooting in the Fern Hill neighborhood.

Just before 9 p.m., crews responded to the area after a report of shots fired. The shooting likely occurred in the 7-Eleven parking lot, located at the corner of Steele Street and South 96th Street. One person was hit, in the shoulder, according to scanner traffic. Another went to St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood with unknown injuries.

Officers are setting up containment and looking for possible suspects. A K-9 unit came to the scene. Officers found a blood trail and shell casing. Police are looking for a 5-foot-10 Samoan male with a medium build, blue jean shorts and a dark T-shirt.

Could it have been the 7 Eleven on 91st and S. Tacoma way? As I was driving by around 10PM, the whole block was roped off by Lakewood PD, with several cruisers and a van. If it was a seperate incident, what happened?
