A 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday night in connection with a shooting Sunday night in South Tacoma.

Tacoma police officers booked the teen into Remann Hall juvenile jail on suspicion of first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

The shooting occurred about 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of South 56th Street and South Mullen Street. The boy and a 17-year-old girl reportedly had an argument, Fulghum said.

The girl told officers the boy shot her in the hand because of the argument. The injury was not considered life threatening.

Officers located the suspect, who lived nearby. They surrounded the house and he surrendered to officers, Fulghum said.

If this seventeen year old had an illegal weapon and actually used to to cause bodily harm on another human being, how on earth is he going to be locked up with children who have committed minor crimes like shop lifting, etc.
Put him in jail, if he’s going to commit a potential murder with an adult weapon, skip Reman Hall and go directly to jail.

He shot a girl who torked him off in the hand??????? This piece of work needs to go to PRISON – forget jail. And the idiots who put these ideas in his head need to go with him.

PRISON FOR LIFE WITH OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE …his parents should also go to jail … how did he get a gun and who taught him that shooting people is a way to deal with your anger!
