Man arrested in Tacoma Dumpster fire

Tacoma police arrested a man on suspicion of second-degree arson this morning after they found him near the scene of a Dumpster fire.

Police and firefighters responded the to area of South East 38th Street and East McKinley Avenue about 1:15 a.m. after witnesses reported a large trash bin on fire.

At least one person told police they saw a man set the blaze. Officers found him a few blocks away and booked him into jail.
