State highway crews freshening up the striping on State Route 16 will close the eastbound connection to Interstate 5 Wednesday night.
That means that between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday, SR 16 drivers bound for I-5 need to exit at Union Avenue, then take 38th Street to get back to I-5, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Signs point to the detour.
The Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16 also will be closed.
