A man wanted for luring a Bonney Lake football player to a library and trying to get a piggy back ride has turned himself into police.
The man went to Bonney Lake police about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the department reported. He was arrested without incident on suspicion of one count of fourth-degree assault.
Bonney Lake police allege the man lured a Bonney Lake High School football player to the library Monday with the ruse of offering to help with a college term paper interview. During the contact, the man started acting strangely and the teen decided to leave.
The man jumped on the student’s back and asked for a piggy back ride. Bonney Lake police identified the man and released information to the media Tuesday. They also indicated he’s some similar behavior elsewhere in the state.
The News Tribune has not named the man because he has not yet been charged with a crime in the incident.
