A commercial truck and trailer has gotten stuck while trying to get off the ferry at Anderson Island.

Pierce County’s transportation operations supervisor filed this rider alert:

During off load at 0730 this morning a commercial truck and trailer became disabled half on the ferry and half on the landing while offloading from the Christine Anderson at Andreson Island. Efforts are underway to have the vehicle towed off the ferry. We hope to have this resolved shortly. Will update with new information.

UPDATE: The truck has been freed. The boat is preparing for its 10:20 a.m. departure.

The disabled truck and trailer have been moved off the ferry at Steilacoom. The Christine Anderson is now loading for the 1020 departure and will make a normal triangle run. Speciial thanks to Anderson Island Fire Dept. and Chief Bixler for responding to the ferry while she was at Anderson Island.
