The National Weather Service is inspecting damage in north Pierce and south King counties to determine if it was a tornado that damaged homes and businesses in the area.
Multiple structures and vehicles in the Enumclaw-Buckley area were damaged in the late afternoon storm on Sunday. The National Weather Service in Seattle said a team will go the area and see the damage, and determine if the storm residents witnessed was a tornado.
No injuries have been reported. The storm did cause power outages in the Enumclaw area.
Dustin Guy, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Seattle, said Monday's weather will be much more calm. There will still be showers and heavy winds, but the worst has come and gone.

Thank God, tornadoes are pretty rare in the Pacific Northwest. By my recollection, this was the third in about 40 years.
My family lived in Enumclaw for 12 years. I am also a native of Illinois--the Midwest--and have seen and lived through severe weather all my life. I have no idea who some of the newscasters are being so over-cautions with their comments. So, I'll help them along. Enumclaw, Buckley and surrounding area, yes--you DID have a tornado come through. It was a small, short lived one--at most an EF2 on the Enhanced Fujita scale. But, it most certainly was a tornado.
Last night @ Kirby's in Sumner a patron mentioned that looked like a tornado cloud but people didn't pay much attention, the funnel was clearly visibly.
Don't know about that one but I did see a small tornado touch down last summer about 3 blocks from my house in Montesano. A beautiful summer day without a single cloud in the sky! it was small but powerful enough to lift a piece of aluminum roofing about 8x12 with studs off a barn and toss it about 60 feet
