Pot bust in Lakewood

Two Lakewood men were arrested on Friday, June 13th after police served 4 search warrants in the city. Two businesses and two apartment units were searched.


In one of the businesses, officers found 201 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and more than twenty pounds of finished product ready for sale.


One of the apartments contained over two pounds of Marijuana ready for large and small sales.


Between the business and two apartments, 61 firearms were taken for evidence and seizure. Many of them were collector firearms. Several assault rifles and a large number of handguns were among the 61 firearms.


$224,880 in currency was located, primarily in the business and one apartment. Morel money was seized from the suspects’ bank accounts today bringing the total to more than $256,000.


The two suspects will be arraigned in Pierce County Superior Court today.
