The military is notifying the families of a couple found slain in their Parkland house Sunday.

A 27-year-old man and his 25-year-old wife were the victims of a double homicide.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office released the couple’s ages Monday morning but said the military is notifying the families because their were both soldiers. The names will not be released until that notification is done.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the case is on the in-custody arraignment list for this afternoon. She’s been booked on two counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

We’ll be at the court appearance and report back.

UPDATE: There’s still not much of one, unfortunately.

Detectives were out most of the night, serving search warrants on the victims’ home and the suspect’s home.

A motive for the slayings remains unknown, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said Monday morning.

The relationship between the suspect and the victims also is unknown.

However, Troyer speculated that there must be some sort of relationship.

“Obviously, she’s going to have prior knowledge of the two and the residence and that’s what we are investigating,” Troyer said.
