Daniel and Carol Carlson are scheduled to be sentenced in the death of Daniel’s wife, Lisa.
The Kapowsin son and mother have pleaded guilty in the case, although they maintain their innocence.
Daniel Carlson has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder with a firearm enhancement. Carol Carlson has pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree assault and one count of sexually violating human remains.
It’s the second time they both have been convicted in shooting death of Lisa Ann Dahm Carlson, 27. A jury convicted Daniel Carlson and his mother, Carol Jean Carlson, in 2003 of first-degree murder in the shooting death.
The Carlsons were each sentenced to 37 years in prison.
Prosecutors said the two shot Lisa Ann Dahm Carlson three times, arranged her body in front of a television playing a pornographic video and ransacked the house to make it look like a burglary.
Prosecutors said the victim was planning to leave her husband and take their twin sons with her.
An appeals court later overturned the convictions, saying some of the evidence had been improperly admitted into the trial.
