Tacoma police are searching for a bank robber.

They are responding to Key Bank at 8402 Pacific Ave., which was robbed at 1:55 p.m.

The bandit used a robbery note. No weapon was seen, police reported.

UPDATE: The bank robber is in custody, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Officers tracked him to a vehicle and obtained a description of the vehicle.

Officers stopped the vehicle at the truck scales off northbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way.

A woman was behind the wheel and two men were in the car. One of the men was identified as the bank robber, Fulghum said.

The three were booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery, Fulghum said.
