The Regional Public Information Network has just issued a high wind warning.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for Western Washington, effective 10pm this evening until 4pm tomorrow. Wind are expected in Western Snohomish County after midnight tonight.

The Emergency Services Coordinating Agency reminds all residents to take precautions during this weather event. Should your power be disrupted, be especially cautious with alternative heating methods. Follow all manufacturers’ directions and ensure the units are properly vented.

DO NOT use outdoor grills, firepits or bar-be-ques for indoor heating or cooking. Use of these items in closed spaces can cause fatal carbon monoxide poisoning. Also use caution with candles and open-flame lanterns. Do not leave burning candles unattended, and remember to extinguish the flame before going to sleep.
