Our web editor has compiled the top 10 Lights & Sirens blog posts (according to page views) for 2007.

A little surprising to me was that seven of the top 10 posts are from Adam’s coverage of the Harold Wright trial. (He’s the principal who was accused of rape by a former student.) The No. 1 post actually was from 2006.

We also had a wacky story and a Zina Linnik update in the mix.

Tacoma police are searching for a bank robber.

They are responding to Key Bank at 8402 Pacific Ave., which was robbed at 1:55 p.m.

The bandit used a robbery note. No weapon was seen, police reported.

UPDATE: The bank robber is in custody, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Officers tracked him to a vehicle and obtained a description of the vehicle.

Officers stopped the vehicle at the truck scales off northbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way.

The Spokesman-Review has a story this morning about a man arrested on suspicion of stalking a 15-year-old girl he allegedly met while playing the online game, Halo.

The man flew from upstate New York to Spokane to see the girl.

You might remember that we’ve had our own case of Internet stalking that reporter Sean Robinson wrote about earlier this year. In the Pierce County case, the suspect found his victim in the World of Warcraft.

Philip Dosskey was recently booked into the Pierce County jail and charged with retail theft with extenuating circumstances.

According to a prosecutor’s affidavit, Dosskey’s modus operandi is to walk into a Lowe’s store empty handed, grab merchandise off the shelf and return it. In at least some instances, he used his real ID, court records say.

The affidavit documents six transaction in local Lowe’s stores dating back to February. He allegedly made off with more than $4,900.

But the real kicker comes at the end of the affidavit:

CNN’s web site has a video today of a man arrested for on suspicion of his 13th DUI.

He gets tasered after he started to bite himself. He later exposed himself to the jail officers, though a blurred circle covers the exposed region.

Sometimes T-town deserves that “gritty” label.

Someone with a can of spray paint already has defiled the “artistic wall” running alongside I-5 through the core of Tacoma.

Jonathan Smith of the TNT sports department reported the damage Friday. He says the grafitti is on the east side of I-5 near the 38th Street interchange. Crews have been putting the finishing touches on the wall (seen here in better times) over the last few weeks.
