Gig Harbor police released surveillance images Wednesday of a man suspected of robbing a bank last week in hopes that someone will recognize him.

The man entered Key Bank, 5055 Borgen Blvd. N.W., about 5:10 p.m. Friday. He handed a teller a note demanding cash and told the teller to hurry.

The bank robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot, officers reported.

The bandit was described as white, 55 years old and 6 feet tall with a slender build. He had long brown hair and, during the robbery, wore glasses, a gray stocking cap, blue jeans and a black pullover jacket with white stripes on the cuffs and collar.

Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and charges filed in the bank robbery. Callers remain anonymous.

Reach Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.
