Everett police just announced that two Tacoma men have been arrested in connection with a double homicide in Everett on July 2.
Everett detectives received a tip implicating one of the suspects in the deaths of Kevin Meas and Linda Nguyen. They were killed at a home in the 600 block of Dexter Avenue.

They followed up on this information, taking their investigation to Tacoma. With the assistance of Tacoma Police Department detectives, EPD detectives made contact with a 24 year old male at his Tacoma residence. This suspect agreed to a voluntary interview at Tacoma PD. During the interview this suspect provided detectives with information implicating himself and another male in the murders.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence of the second suspect. The warrant was executed without incident. During the search of the residence the second suspect arrived home and was taken into custody, again without incident. The second suspect is a 20 year old Tacoma man.
Both suspects were transported back to Everett and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for two counts of 1st Degree Murder.
Earlier today, we learned that a man linked to a 1974 slaying of a BYU student in Salt Lake City was arrested Wednesday afternoon just outside of Tacoma.
Tacoma police detectives assisted the Salt Lake City detectives in contacting the man at his house, which was just outside the city limits, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
