Man charged for trafficking stolen musical instruments

Pierce County prosecutors have charged a 35-year-old convicted felon with 20 counts of trafficking in stolen property.

Court documents filed earlier this month allege that William George Bullock Jr. pawned 20 instruments stolen from Ted Brown Music. The instruments sold include several flutes, piccolos, saxophones and a couple of clarinets.

Ted Brown Music employees did a six-month inventory at the end of December and discovered that 112 instruments were missing. The manager suspected Bullock in the thefts because he was a former employee and knew the inventory procedures, according to court documents.

After the missing items were

Crashed temporarily blocked 176th Street

A head-on crash reportedly blocked 176th Street between Canyon Road and Pacific Highway on Wednesday morning.

The crash has been cleared, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said. The injuries were not as bad as first thought. (I heard it described on the radio this morning as a “serious injury, head-on crash.”)

Man asking questions, trespassing arrested at Capitol

Got this news tidbit from the Washington State Patrol this morning. Must be a little slow down there. (It’s a little slow up here as well.)

Troopers arrested a man Sunday after he arrived on the Capitol Campus and allegedly tried to gain access to a posted restricted area. The man also had an outstanding warrant.

The man first raised suspicions when he asked procedural “what if” type questions of campus staff. Troopers detained him and a companion a short time later after they allegedly ignored a warning from staff members to not enter a posted and fenced

This is not your typical story of a panty raid on a college campus, though this did take place on a college campus and did involve a lot of panties.

Here’s the Associated Press story.

Here’s a look at the Adre’anna Jackson billboard

Just got back from the press conference.

Here’s a look at the billboards for Adre’anna Jackson. It’s quite striking and the yellow will really stand out on those grey sky days.

The event was attended by Adre’anna’s mother, Yvette Gervais, and father, John Federici. They stayed in a nearby car during the talking officials and sign unveiling part of the program.

However, afterward, Yvette briefly talked to the media. She thanked everybody for their continued to support. She described the billboard as “beautiful and eerie at
