We’ve heard this Friday afternoon that police are on the scene of a robbery at the Venture Bank branch on Bridgeport Way in Lakewood.

One tipster just called to report the nearby streets are blocked off.

L & S has a call into Lakewood police to get more details.

UPDATE: Lakewood police have confirmed that the Venture Bank was robbed just before 4 p.m. today.

A white man in his 20s and dressed in a tan pullover, zip-up hoodie walked into the bank at 9540 Bridgeport Way and presented the teller with a robbery note.

He got some cash and fled.

No arrests have been made. It sounds like there are surveillance photos of the suspect. If he’s not captured by Monday, we might get a look at them.
