Here’s what we know …

A 25-year-old man was fatally shot during some sort of dispute in a house in Parkland, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said. The shooting was reported just after 9:45 a.m. Monday.

The man, a known transient in the area, was taken to Tacoma General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The man also was known to frequent this house in the 10300 block of Broadway Avenue South.

We don’t know much more about the dispute or whether any arrests have been made.

This is the first homicide of 2007 for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
