Armed robber hits Verizon store

A cellular phone business was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night in Tacoma.


The man wielded a gun and robbed the Verizon Wireless store at 4009 Tacoma Mall Boulevard. He fled on foot, Tacoma police reported.


Officers and a police dog searched for the man but did not find him.
