Things were tough at the airport, too

TNT News Network member Serni Solidarios said friend Chona Magaway had a tough go at Sea-Tac last night:

She left Tacoma to pick up a relative arriving SeaTac on Alaska flight 511 at 936pm. The plane landed at 1145pm –but couldn’t unload passengers for almost two hours because no gates were available. Congested and revised airport pickups meant waiting it out at the increasingly crowded nearby Denny’s and Jack in The Box as the snow fell. She finally got back to Tacoma at 6am, after passing countless cars on the roadsides and No Vacancy signs on the motels.
