Firefighters battle house fire in Lakewood

Lakewood firefighters doused a house fire Tuesday afternoon in the 10400 block of 109th Street Court Southwest, the Lakewood Fire Department reported.

Crews arrived at 12:16 p.m. and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the west side of the home and an attic space.

Firefighters attacked the blaze and got the fire under control at 12:49 p.m., the department reported.

There were no injuries. The cause remained under investigation. Investigators estimated the loss at $200,000 to the house and its contents.
