AAA: Average price of gasoline in Washington $3.64

The Associated Press reports this morning that the average price of a gallon of gasoline in the state is $3.64, according to the latest AAA survey. The statewide average is down 14 cents in a week and 65 cents in a month. It’s still 31 cents higher than the national average.

In Tacoma this morning, average low prices ranged from around $3.35 a gallon up to $3.39, according to The News Tribune’s Gas Prices Tracker.

Boeing update

Boeing officials expect employees will be able to return to work Wednesday at its Auburn plant. Multiple transformers failed at the plant Saturday, and the aerospace giant canceled some work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Employees are asked to check the company hot line tonight after 7 p.m. for confirmation: 1-800-899-6431. Information also is available online at www.boeing.com/emergency.
